Who are the Scots?

You’ll often see us wearing the kilt at formal events – you can learn about the origins of the kilt here.

Scots in Poland
Scots have connections to Poland going back to at least the 15th Century. You can learn more from the following links:

Perhaps the best known Scot in Poland was Alexander Chalmers (Aleksander Czamer) who was mayor of Warsaw in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. You can learn more about him here.
(Paul Gogolinski, a member of our committee, was instrumental in having a plaque commemorating Alexander Chalmers placed in Warsaw’s Old Town (Stare Miasto) at Wąski Dunaj 10.)
