PLN 45,000 donated for Brain Cancer Treatment
Children’s brain cancer treatment outcomes will be improved by St Andrew’s Foundation’s recent donation of PLN 45,000 to Fundacja Iskierka, a charity supporting young people with cancer, for the purchase of equipment for DTI (Diffusion Tensor Imaging) Tractography. DTI Tractography uses include:
- Pre-operative planning for brain cancers; and,
- Differentiation of brain cancers.
Help us raise a further PLN 75,000
The total cost of the DTI Tractography equipment purchase is around PLN 120,000 and we and Iskierka are committed to: find the balance of the purchase cost before the end of 2018; and, see that stricken young people achieve the best of brain cancer treatment outcomes.
To this end, the first PLN 75,000 raised from donations at this year’s St Andrew’s Caledonian Charity Ball will be donated to Iskierka. Guests at the Ball will, we hope, dig deep in their sporrans (or pockets, if they’re not Scotsmen) to win some of our amazing raffle prizes and buy our sponsored auction items.

There are still a few tickets remaining – if you’d like to know more about the Ball or obtain tickets, please visit our St Andrew’s Caledonian Charity Ball 2018 page.
